The African journey of Berdoues and his new perfume: Maasaï Mara

Berdoues announced it some time ago and the time has finally come for its new olfactory release. This one is resolutely placed under the sign of Africa and plunges us into a real olfactory safari. The novelty of Berdoues is called Maasaï Mara and pays homage to Kenya. This is part of the emblematic Collection of Grands Crus and is loaded with new flavors for a colorful rendering!

The Collection of Grands Crus of Berdoues

Berdoues is a great house of creationwho has given thanks to the art of perfumery for over 100 years. Thus, each of its juices is produced in accordance with the uses of this typically French know-how. Although perfume manufacturing techniques have evolved over time, Berdoues’ requirement remains the same and it is precisely this that we find in the new Maasaï Mara perfume. Produced like a Grand Cru, this juice is the heir to a precious tradition. It emanates from the desire of Berdoues to collect the best raw materials on the planet and bring them together in an exceptional line of Colognes. Each of them then has a strong personality. The idea is to give back to Colognes, considered by many to be the beginnings of our current perfumery, their letters of nobility. However, do not believe that this is a blend of old-fashioned perfumes. Each of them is perfectly anchored in the contemporary spirit and is elaborated with the same care that a winemaker brings to his finest wines. Maasaï Mara is like each of its counterparts, endowed with incomparable quality and ultimate refinement.

Maasai Mara, an African tribute

Maasai Mara has a strong personality and this time takes us to the heart of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The latter is located in southwestern Kenya, in the natural extension of the Serengeti National Park, in Tanzania. What is more, the name of Maasai Mara is reminiscent of that of the emblematic Maasai tribes of Africa. La Mara, on the other hand, is the name of the river that crosses the reserve. Thus, it would almost suffice to close your eyes to catch a glimpse of an immense expanse of gently undulating savannah in which many animal species would meet. To give you an idea, know that it is particularly in this place that the film “Felines” was shot. Also, it is precisely all this ardor that we find in the Maasaï Mara perfume. This is a mixed juice mainly revolving around the flavor of Agathosma. The latter is none other than a creeping plant typical of this region of the world and with an aromatic and floral scent. What is more, it has been used for centuries by Africans as a remedy. For the occasion, it is surrounded by vegetal notes of ivy and more sustained flavors of coffee. The Maasaï Mara bottle, meanwhile, takes up the classic aesthetic of the Collection des Grands Crus de Berdoues. Rectangular in shape, it is nevertheless decorated with a pattern similar to that of traditional African fabrics. it has been used for centuries by Africans as a remedy.
