Guerlain’s Aqua Allegoria collectionis one of the most famous olfactory ranges on the planet. The latter brings together bright and sparkling interpretations of different gardens from around the world. From India to Italy, Venezuela or California, the Aqua Allegoria collection takes us to the four corners of the globe. These fresh and luminous compositions are all inspired by the Eaux de Cologne of yesteryear. Here, in this advertisement, 11 bottles are honored, while being associated with the major ingredients of their composition. They spring from fresh and limpid water, to the playful and whistling tune of the track “Whishing Girl” by Lola Marsh. Undeniably, Guerlain’s 2020 advertisement is a great opportunity to rediscover some of the greatest Aqua Allegoria …

Aqua Allegoria Mandarin Basil

Let’s start with a refreshing scent, straight from Asia. Mandarin comes from China, while basil comes from India. Both give birth here to a refreshing, slightly herbaceous or aniseed scent. Designed by Marie Salamagne, Aqua Allegoria Mandarine Basilic reveals all the freshness of citrus fruits, by mixing clementine, mandarin and blood orange. Its heart, for its part, lights up with orange blossom and peony, while the basil deploys here its spicy, green and unique breath. Green tea then mingles with the sweetness of chamomile, before the whole vanishes into a cottony cloud of amber and sandalwood.

Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune

Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune , on the other hand, captures all the gaiety of one of Spain’s most colorful cities. Designed by Mathilde Laurent, it is a good-humored cocktail that begins with the tangy sparkle of grapefruit. Bergamot from Italy also refreshes the whole. Then, her heart lights up with neroli and petitgrain. The whole is accompanied by Reunionese vanilla. Finally, Pamplelune ends with the more woody scent of Indonesian patchouli.

Aqua Allegoria Bergamot Calabria

A true dive into the heart of Calabria, Bergamot Calabria is as green as it is refreshing or bright. Here, cardamom floats a very incisive and refreshing scent. Its spicy breath is amplified by the presence of pink berry and ginger. Gradually, bergamot makes its appearance, while sunning itself with flowers and lemon leaves. The whole is finally based on a breeze of white musk and vanilla. Welcome to the heart of Calabria!

Aqua Allegoria Granada Salvia

Aqua Allegoria Granada salvia is inspired by Granada and seems to come directly from Spain. Its fruity scent also revolves around Pomegranate. Guerlain thus plays on a double meaning, drawing inspiration as much from fruit as from the Spanish city. The whole also contains rose, bergamot and lemon. Sage brings a more aromatic touch to this fragrance, while patchouli, oak moss and cypress give it its woody originality.

Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz

Aqua Allegoria Coconut Fizz takes us to the Indian Ocean side. Its fresh and exotic scent is particularly fruity. Here, bergamot is first associated with other water fruits. Then, the fleshy and generous coconut is combined with a floral breath of freesia. Gradually, the whole is enveloped in a milky trail, punctuated by tonka bean and sandalwood.

Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia

Finally, releasing solar energy, Aqua Allegoria Orange Soleia seems to come directly from Sicily. The emblematic citrus fruits of this part of the globe mingle with the spicy touch of pink pepper. The almond comes to refresh its heart, while illuminating itself with petitgrain. Finally, the whole is wrapped in a grilled tonka bean and a more animal musk.
